The journey of clay as it passes through the firing process, has been my main focus. Exploring the special relationship between clay, glaze, and fire. Each process has a unique effect on both the glaze and the clay body. Soft hues of smoke fire, lusters of Raku, the dependably of electric fire. Returning clay back to stone with wood burning high fire, letting the flame and ash transform the glaze. The possibilities are endless. All process mentioned are present in my work. I used heat , smoke and flame to paint the surface of my pieces.
